What will the
Preschool look like for Marquette Academy?
Marquette Academy will offer three sessions of preschool: two sessions in the morning and one session in the afternoon. The two morning sessions will be divided according to age with a three-year-old class (Marquette Academy Class of 2025) and a four-year-old class (Marquette Academy Class of 2024). The afternoon session will be a blend of both ages.
What is the teacher-to-student ratio in the preschool?
We anticipate a teacher-to-student ratio of no more than 1:10 in the preschool and the maximum enrollment in each class will be twenty students. The breakdown will be as follows:
Morning Preschool (8:30 till 11:30)
Three-year-old class – one teacher and one aide
Four-year-old class – one teacher and one aide
Afternoon Preschool (12:30 till 3:30)
Blended class – one teacher and one aide if enrollment exceeds ten students
Where will preschool
be held?
All preschool classes will be held in the Early Education Building on the St. Patrick campus.
What is the
registration process?
Families can apply to the program and will be accepted in the following order:
Current families in our schools who wish to enroll for five-day preschool.
Other families who wish to enroll for five-day preschool.
Current families who wish to enroll for less than five-day preschool.
Other families who wish to enroll for less than five-day preschool.
Some families wish to enroll children for less than five days per week. We accommodate those students as space permits. We will not accept students in preschool for less than two days per week.

Application forms and further information is available at the St. Patrick Early Education Building and in the main office of St. Columba School.
What are the general requirements for preschool?
To be enrolled in preschool, students must be three-years-old; potty trained; and provide a birth certificate and a record of physical exam and shots. More specific requirements are available at the school.
What is the cost for
preschool?
The tuition for preschool is $12 per day plus a fee of $100 for materials. A non-refundable $60 down payment toward tuition is required to register.
Will the Academy continue
to offer daycare?
Yes. We are calling it the “extended-day program” and it will be offered in the Early Education Building.
Who will teach
preschool?
Decisions regarding faculty and staff for Marquette Academy will be determined in the spring.
Will Marquette
Academy have a summer program for preschoolers?
Other than our week-long Saintly Summer Sessions program, we are not planning a summer daycare program.
